Vel! Vel! During this day all Hindus celebrate the birthday of the Hindu deity, Lord Subramaniam aka Lord Muruga, Lord Shiva's youngest son. It was also this day when Parvati, Lord Muruga's mom gave him a vel (spear) to vanquish demons. A bystander told me this. So kawan-kawan, it's "vel vel" ye, bukan "wel wel"!
